Workshop: Up to Speed
Archives & History Building Auditorium
Join your colleagues from across North Carolina for a rousing workshop and discussion about how the arts can “pull up to the table” in the 2008 election. Seats on School Boards all the way up the chain to President of the United States will be determined on November 4th. As a wise man once stated, “The time to make a friend of a Legislator is BEFORE they are elected.” What actions can you legally take, what actions should you take, what does common sense dictate regardless of the legal issues? When the workshop concludes at 4pm, Karen Wells, Executive Director of ARTS North Carolina, will stay to answer any questions about Legislative visits scheduled for May 14th.
