Membership Spotlight Submissions

 
Membership Spotlight is a platform for our member organizations to share brief narratives about specific programs, fundraisers, and events that have a real impact on communities. For example, how local businesses were involved in a fundraiser, or a theater company partnered with a welding program to build scenery. Artistic, civic, and fiscal success is integral to what we do and we can learn much from each other if we take a few moments to connect.

Each Membership Spotlight submission should:

  • Be submitted online using the form below
  • Be about something your organization has done, will do, or is doing
  • Be no more than 250 words
  • Include one photograph that represents the story
  • Be written in a positive tone, even if you are describing an obstacle or challenge
  • Highlight those that are impacted and those involved (administrators, artists, patrons or beneficiaries)
  • Include a link to your web site or information related to the submission
  • Mention if NC Arts Council Funding is used (to be used as an advocacy narrative)

Membership Spotlight submissions will:

  • Be reviewed (and possibly edited slightly) by Arts NC staff before posting on the Arts NC site
  • Be posted with the photo (please be sure photo rights are obtained and necessary credits submitted with the image)
  • Be considered for posting on Arts NC social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • ONLY be used if submitted by an Arts NC member organization

Membership Spotlight enables our members to share with each other and the larger North Carolina arts community in a way that is both engaging and useful. One organization’s creative story may become another’s creative solution.
