What is ARTS Day?

Founded more than 30 years ago, ARTS Day is an annual two-day conference of art and action that draws hundreds of North Carolinians to their state capital to learn, network, celebrate, and speak with one voice on behalf of the arts.

Day 1 – Conference Day is devoted to professional development, networking, and developing messages and strategies. Insightful speakers, industry updates, and rousing performances make Conference Day a “thought-provoking” and “energizing” event people return to year after year. Day 2 – Legislative Day is North Carolina’s arts industry “take action” event. Prepared with the messaging and energy of Conference Day, arts advocates meet with their legislators to talk about the importance of sustaining and growing public funding and arts education policy.
