Silver Lining Story Submissions
Silver Lining Stories is a platform for our artists and arts organizations to share brief narratives about the positive ways they are impacting their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. These stories can be about helping the health care professionals on the front lines, new online performance and instructional programming, or how you are empowering the resilience of your community through the arts. We will share these stories via email and social media and also use them in our advocacy work at the federal, state, and local level.
Each Silver Lining Story submission should:
- Be submitted online using the form below
- Be about something your organization has done, will do, or is doing
- Be no more than 250 words
- Include one photograph that represents the story (if possible)
- Be written in a positive tone, even if you are describing an obstacle or challenge
- Highlight those that are impacted and those involved (administrators, artists, patrons or beneficiaries)
- Include a link to related video if applicable.
- Include a link to your web site or information related to the submission
Silver Lining Story submissions will:
- Be reviewed (and possibly edited slightly) by Arts NC staff before posting on the Arts NC site and social media
- Be posted with the photo if available (please be sure photo rights are obtained and necessary credits submitted with the image)
- Be considered for posting on Arts NC social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Silver Lining Stories enables our members to share with each other and the larger North Carolina arts community the many ways we can create positive change in our communities during this challenging time. If we continue to share and learn from our silver lining stories, we will be able to overcome every dark cloud we face together.
