Call to Action: Congratulations and Thanks
The results are in, well most of them anyway. Now is the time to leap in to action! Begin or continue to build a relationship with a handwritten note or letter to congratulate the winners. These are the people we will be working with to enrich the arts in North Carolina.
Do not forget to also send a note to those who didn’t win. Thank them for their commitment to the community and passion on the issues. There are many candidates that have hung their heads on election night only to find themselves in office just a few short years later.
Everyone that ran for office did so out of a desire to serve and to build a better future. That takes courage and commitment and they all deserve our thanks and respect.
Arts NC will be working hard in the coming weeks to evaluate the changes in the political landscape and chart our best course toward a North Carolina where the arts are considered indispensable by all.
